Smith moved, Ellena seconded to accept the November 18, 2003 Open Session Minutes.  Approved 4-0.  Smydra abstained.

MEMBER CONCERNS

Patricia Smydra, 6334 Balfour Drive:  Spoke of her concern for members who may have been dis-satisfied with their hardwood floor refinishing, and were forced to live elsewhere while the refinishing work was being done.  As this is in direct regards to another member, Management will update the Board when Executive Session is reconvened.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

None at this time.

OPEN DOOR/WINDOW POLICY

Ms. Miller will prepare a policy and draft letter for the Board’s consideration and review at the January, 2004 Board meeting.

ADVERTISING

There was Board consensus to run a display advertisement in the Lansing State Journal in January, 2004.  The ad will be 2 columns wide and 4 to 6 inches in length, and will run one time in the Sunday edition.

NEW BUSINESS

None at this time.

OLD BUSINESS

Clubhouse Rental:  There was Board consensus to not raise the current $25.00 clubhouse rental fee.

Lighting Inspection Results:  A building light will be added to the building near 6220 Balfour Drive.  This need for lighting was reported by a member who lives in the area, and verified during the recent lighting inspection.  Any lighting that is maintained by the Board of Water and Light (pole lights) that was out was reported to BWL  Shields from lights that Highlands Cooperative maintains have been removed, thus providing a greater lighting area per light unit.
