Meeting called to order at 5:00 p.m.

 

 

 

OPEN MINUTES

 

Guyer moved, Smith seconded to accept the January 25, 2004 Open Session Minutes.  Approved 3-0. 

 

MEMBER CONCERNS

 

Linda Masters, 6222 Balfour Drive:  Ms. Masters spoke of her concern due to children playing hide & seek in the parking lot and in-between members’ cars.  Ms. Miller requested Ms. Masters document the incident(s) in a letter, and submit it to the Highlands Cooperative office for follow up.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

None at this time.

 

SBC LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE SERVICE

 

Smith moved, Guyer seconded to accept the change in long distance telephone service from LDMI to SBC.  Approved 3-0.

 

MORTGAGE PAYOFF

 

No activity at this time.

 

HIGHLANDS COOPERATIVE COMPREHENSIVE MANUAL

 

Ms. Miller compiled and distributed a large 3-ring binder to all Board members containing information important for the Board to have convenient access to (contact lists, by-laws, policies, procedures, etc.).

 

NAHC SEMINAR

 

The Board will discuss details of the 2004 NAHC seminar at the March, 2004 Board Meeting.

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

Ms. Miller reported that the Board-approved a one-time display advertisement in the Lansing State Journal, which ran on January 25, 2004.  It cost $1592.62, and generated 6 phone calls.  One application for membership was picked up, but never returned.
